What are the main differences between affiliate programs and MLM, Multilevel Marketing or Network Marketing programs? What is good and bad about each? Is there a program that takes the best and ditches the rest?
The internet marketer's dream is the offspring of the crossing of MLM and Affiliate programs. Let's see how this works by first lightly examining both:
What are the good points for affiliate programs?
1. They are normally free to join without monthly costs.
2. You can start earning money immediately.
What are the bad points points for affiliate programs?
1. You are only paid on one or two levels.
2. You are losing money from your second or third level down.
3. There is no promise of residual income. You are only paid on one time sales.
What are the good points of MLM ( Network Marketing )
1. You can be paid on 3, 4, 5 .... 10 or more levels.
2. You are normally paid residual income.
3. You can earn far more money with MLM than affiliate programs.
What are the bad points of MLM ( Network marketing )
1. Normally there is a monthly cost and or joining fee. You are paying before you make money.
2. The difficulty of qualifying for residual income and covering monthly costs is one of the main reasons people drop out of MLM. Many quit on the starting block.
To provide internet marketers with the best of both affiliate programs and MLM ( Network Marketing ) they require the following.
1. Free to join.
2. Free product to give away.
3. A company that will pay members to give away their products or services.
4. Plenty of payment levels to make lots of money. Deep level payments.
5. No inventory to handle.
Why would any company provide this kind of dream come true for work at home people? The reasons are quite simple:
1. Conventional methods are very competitive which means very expensive heavy profit cutting advertising. E.g. Television, radio, newspapers, magazine and billboard advertising etc..
2. Advertising doesn't have guaranteed results. Companies can save millions and make millions on methods whereby they only pay for results. A simplified internet example could be paid banner ads compared to paid per click advertising such as AdWords. Paid banners don't guarantee you visitors whereas Pay Per Click does. Just like you and I, big companies love to pay on results and not on hopes of results.
Think about this:
If you are familiar with Google AdSense then you know that certain keywords pay you much more than others. Credit card and loan ads pay much much better than ads like radio, dog or book ads. Why? Because that is where the money is. Remember this: "If you want to get money go to where the money is." My quote is not only very simple but financially sound. Would you go fishing in a football ground? No. You'd go to a lake, river or the sea. If you want money, go to where the money is. Read on :
